Helen Callaway is a former resident of Kilbride. Originally from Hamilton, Helen graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree and went on to have a varied career in industry, education, customer service, and donor relations. She came to the village of Kilbride in 1982 and was married in Kilbride United Church.
Helen’s interest in the history of Kilbride began with a local newspaper, Voice of the Village, and she later became a regular contributor to the Kilbride Chronicles. Helen made it her goal to collect any and all information about the Kilbride area. In 2019, she founded the Kilbride History Group to bring together current and former residents of Kilbride to research, catalogue, and share the history of the village.
