Jo’Anne was born on July 14, 1941 in Hamilton. She and her parents lived in Upper Lowville, then called Highville from 1941 to 1945. In 1945 they moved to the farm located on McNiven Road in the former village of Cumminsville. She attended Kilbride School and high school in Burlington. Jo’Anne had a long career working for the Canadian Meter Co. Inc in Milton from 1960 to 1999. During that time she married Robert Schilling in 1962. They have one son and 2 granddaughters. Jo’Anne has been a volunteer at the Milton District Hospital since 2000 and has been serving on the Board of Directors of the hospital since 2004.
