The following clipping was published in the Hay Bay Guardian in 2006. It reported the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the First Camp Meeting held at Hay Bay, Bay of Quinte in 2005. The Rev. Daniel Pickett was one of the five ministers who took part in the first Camp Meeting in 1805. As a direct descendant of one of the original ministers, Ruth Taylor was invited to take part in the 200th Anniversary Service – a great honour to be sure.
